The National Pension and Provident Fund (NPPF) was established as an autonomous agency on March 30, 2000 to manage the pension and provident fund schemes of civil servants, state-owned corporation and armed forces. On 1 July 2002, the Government formally launched the National Pension and Provident Fund Plan (NPPFP) through the Executive Order to provide income security to the members on retirement and permanent disability. It also provides social support to the family members in the event of demise of a member while in service or after retirement.

Interested Bhutanese fulfilling the above eligibility criteria(s) may apply and submit the application online along with the following mandatory documents:
- Latest signed resume
- Citizenship Identity Card (Both Sides)
- Academic transcripts with completion certificates (Class X, XII and Diploma)
- Medical Fitness certificate issued by a competent RGoB medical doctor for employment (Valid for six months from date of application)
- Valid RBP security clearance
- Valid audit clearance certificate (If employed)
- Recommendation letter from two referees (Current or past employers) if employed
- Certified documents to support total number of years of work experience if employed
- Any other documents and testimonials, as may be applicable to the vacancy.
Candidates with additional years of relevant work experience shall be eligible for a higher basic pay (advance increment), subject to approval.
